Dr. Kelsea Farrell discovered Intermountain Health and ultimately joined our team because many of her medical colleagues who were already working here spoke very highly of the company and encouraged her to explore the possibilities.Dr. Farrell first became interested in obstetrics and gynecology after shadowing the only OBGYN in her small rural town in Northern California. She is the first in her family to become a physician. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Dr. Farrell worked as a doula.Dr. Farrell earned her medical degree from The University of Arizona at Tucson with an emphasis in rural health. While in medical school, she won the Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Women’s Healthcare. She was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. She completed her residency at University of Nevada Las Vegas. While in residency, she was awarded the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine’s Excellence in Obstetrics Award. She also held the top score for the in-training examination, Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
