She has served as a primary investigator for several clinical trials. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Bangalore University in India. She did her residency in medical oncology and internal medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas. Dr. Mocherla is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She has researched and published articles on new developments in breast cancer treatment. She has volunteered at breast cancer programs in Las Vegas and various programs in Bangalore, India.
