Maria Agnes Sado joined the Intermountain Health team with years of experience as an RN, RN supervisor, RN auditor and family nurse practitioner. She specializes in treating cardiovascular and stroke patients and handling chronic and complex illnesses. Maria grew up in the Philippines, and her father encouraged her from a young age to pursue medicine, which he viewed as the noblest of professions. Today, her husband is her number-one fan and supporter who pushes her to her limits to succeed. She holds a Master’s in Nursing from the United States University in San Diego, California. While living in the Philippines, she earned a BS in Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas, a BS in Nursing from Colegio de San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila, an MD from Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation and practiced medicine for almost 15 years before she migrated to the United States. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds licenses both in Nevada and California. In her spare time, Maria enjoys window shopping and reading fashion and home improvement magazines. She is fluent in Tagalog.
