Dr. Yvonne Saunders-Teigeler was attracted to Intermountain Health because of our nonprofit status, which she feels makes it more possible to put the needs of patients first. She likes to hear patients' life stories because she cares about patients as a whole, not just about one particular illness or condition. She is passionate about making sure that each and every patient gets heard and their needs are met to achieve their best possible health and sense of well-being. Before joining Intermountain Health, Dr. Teigeler worked as a physician and medical director for several organizations in Las Vegas and as an adjunct faculty member for Touro University School of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Teigeler earned her BA from Northwestern University and her MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She did her residency in family practice at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. She has published articles in numerous medical journals.
